Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers are essential to the work we do. Whatever your interests or skills, chances are we have a job for you! Persons interested in volunteering must fill out and mail our Volunteer Application. For more information, call Sharon Lee, at 425-259-2827, extension 24. Some of the opportunities include, but are not limited to:
Direct Services with victims and children:
- Hotline/Crisis phone line
- Court Support & Legal Advocacy
- Working with the children of victims
Note: According to federal law, all direct service volunteers must complete a minimum of 20 hours of Domestic Violence Advocacy Training. Call Sharon Lee, at 425-259-2827, extension 24 for training information. (Next class slated to begin September 28, 2009)
Non-direct Services:
- Clerical/Office help
- Work at our Thrift Shoppe
- Shelter Maintenance/Yard Work
- Fundraising activities
- Community outreach and education
- Special Events committees
